Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Burn healing improved on both histology and tensiometry and the corticosteroid impairment was counteracted; BPC-157 also attenuated burn-related gastric lesions and, in splenic-cell assay at day 21, returned corticosteroid-suppressed cell reactivity to healthy-control values.
- Population
- Mice with deep partial-thickness burns over 20% of the back, followed 21 days, with or without 6α-methylprednisolone
- Intervention
- Topical BPC-157 cream at three concentrations
- Comparator
- Neutral cream, no treatment, and corticosteroid alone
- Limitations
- Originating network; the immunosuppression-reversal finding rests on a single ex vivo assay and has not been reproduced.
