Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Better contraction, higher cell proliferation and higher antioxidant-enzyme expression than either control. Biotinylated GHK raised copper concentration at the wound site ninefold, which the authors read as the effect being part copper delivery and part matrikine signalling.
- Population
- Rats with dermal wounds
- Intervention
- Biotinylated GHK incorporated into a collagen membrane
- Comparator
- Collagen film alone and untreated wounds
- Limitations
- Modified peptide in a carrier; the ninefold copper rise makes it hard to separate peptide signalling from local copper loading.
