Ruff KJ, DeVore DP, Leu MD, Robinson MA · Clinical Interventions in Aging

Anecdotalcounts toward this tier

Participants reported large reductions in joint pain (mean ~72% at 30 days in one cohort) and improved flexibility, but without any control group these numbers cannot be separated from placebo response.

Population
Adults with self-reported joint and connective-tissue pain (two open-label cohorts, n=11 and n=28)
Intervention
NEM 500 mg once daily for 4 weeks
Comparator
None (open-label, no control)
Limitations
Uncontrolled, unblinded, manufacturer-run; classic conditions for inflated effect estimates.
