Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Different fragments carry different jobs: the N-terminal Ac-SDKP tetrapeptide is the anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic site, while the central actin-binding sequence LKKTETQ (residues 17–23) carries the angiogenic, cell-migration and wound-healing activity — which is the fragment gray-market TB-500 contains.
- Population
- Review mapping Tβ4's activities onto sub-sequences of the 43-amino-acid protein
- Intervention
- n/a
- Comparator
- n/a
- Limitations
- Review by authors with thymosin-related commercial interests; the site-to-activity mapping comes from heterogeneous models, not head-to-head comparisons.
