Plasma extravasation, histological inflammation and alveolar bone resorption on microCT were all significantly reduced, while gingival blood flow in healthy tissue was unchanged — anti-resorptive without altering normal perfusion.

Rats with ligature-induced periodontitis around the lower left first molar, 12 days

Intervention

BPC 157 once daily for 12 days

Comparator

Vehicle; contralateral untreated side
