Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Plasma extravasation, histological inflammation and alveolar bone resorption on microCT were all significantly reduced, while gingival blood flow in healthy tissue was unchanged — anti-resorptive without altering normal perfusion.
- Population
- Rats with ligature-induced periodontitis around the lower left first molar, 12 days
- Intervention
- BPC 157 once daily for 12 days
- Comparator
- Vehicle; contralateral untreated side
- Limitations
- Semmelweis University group collaborating with the originating laboratory; alveolar bone under a ligature is not articular tissue, and effect sizes are not given in the indexed record.
