Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Three-dimensional culture preserved the chondrocyte phenotype, and the authors attribute that preservation to aggrecan rather than to GHK. The constructs formed a firm net-like tissue subsequently implanted as a cartilage graft.
- Population
- Pig chondrocytes in three-dimensional culture with cartilage collagens
- Intervention
- Medium with cartilage collagens plus aggrecan, plus GHK tripeptide, or plus both
- Comparator
- Cartilage collagens alone
- Limitations
- Czech-language report with an English abstract only; GHK was one of four medium conditions and no separate GHK effect size is given. No blinding, no replicate counts in the abstract.
