Tβ4 message rose early in regenerating muscle fibres and infiltrating cells, and both Tβ4 and its sulphoxide accelerated in-vitro wound closure and drew myoblasts chemotactically — endogenous Tβ4 behaves as a local recruitment signal after muscle injury.
