Rapamycin extended median lifespan by about 10% in males and 18% in females at all three sites. Resveratrol at either dose had no significant effect on survival in either sex — the field's most rigorous multi-site test of resveratrol as a lifespan drug.

- Genetically heterogeneous mice at three independent test sites (NIA Interventions Testing Program)
- Intervention
- Resveratrol at 300 and 1,200 ppm in food, or simvastatin, or rapamycin, from 9 months of age

- Limitations
- Mice on standard chow, not the high-calorie diet where resveratrol's survival benefit was originally reported; healthspan endpoints other than survival were limited.
