Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
The number of amino acids that stimulated proliferation fell six-fold in explants from old rats, while the tripeptides stimulated proliferation in explants from both young and old animals.
- Population
- Organotypic cartilage explant cultures from 3-month-old and 24-month-old rats
- Intervention
- 20 coded amino acids and synthetic bioregulatory tripeptides at 0.05 ng/ml
- Comparator
- Untreated explants
- Limitations
- The indexed abstract does not say which tripeptides were tested, so AED cannot be confirmed as one of them; Russian-language institute-linked journal; proliferation area only, no matrix endpoint.
