NULL, and mechanistically so. Plasma resveratrol rose, but body composition, resting metabolic rate, lipids and inflammatory markers were unchanged, hyperinsulinaemic-euglycaemic clamp showed no gain in liver, muscle or adipose insulin sensitivity, and the putative molecular targets — AMPK, SIRT1, NAMPT, PPARGC1A — were unaffected in muscle and fat biopsies.

- A healthy population with little room to improve, and a low dose. The value of the record is the target engagement measurement: the pathway resveratrol is sold on did not move.
