Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
GHK, GGH, their copper complexes and CuCl2 all reduced TNF-α-dependent IL-6 secretion. The authors read this as grounds for topical copper peptides as an alternative to corticosteroids in skin inflammation.
- Population
- Normal human dermal fibroblasts stimulated with TNF-α
- Intervention
- GHK, GGH and their copper complexes
- Comparator
- TNF-α alone; CuCl2 alone
- Limitations
- Single cytokine, single cell type, ELISA only. Free copper chloride reproduced the effect, so the peptide is not shown to be necessary.
