Vessel density rose in the membrane assay and in endothelial tube formation, hindlimb blood flow recovered faster on laser Doppler, and BPC 157 raised VEGFR2 mRNA and protein — but not VEGF-A — and drove receptor internalisation with VEGFR2–Akt–eNOS activation, all of it abolished by blocking endocytosis.
