Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
Concentration-dependent vasodilation that largely disappeared without endothelium and was blocked by L-NAME or haemoglobin; BPC 157 phosphorylated Src, caveolin-1 and eNOS and reduced caveolin-1–eNOS binding, placing Src upstream of eNOS release.
- Population
- Isolated rat aorta with and without endothelium, and vascular endothelial cells
- Intervention
- BPC 157 across a concentration range, with L-NAME, haemoglobin or a Src inhibitor
- Comparator
- Vehicle; denuded vessels
- Limitations
- Ex vivo vessel and cell work; no injury model and no dosing relevance to human use.
