Ebert JR, Edwards P, Janes GC, et al. · Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy

Promisingcounts toward this tier

No differences between rehab arms to a minimum 5 years; both improved significantly with 8.1% graft failure overall — faster loading did not harm the graft.

Population
35 patients (37 knees) after MACI to femoral condyle/trochlea, randomized to 6- vs 8-week return to full weight bearing
Intervention
Accelerated rehabilitation (full weight bearing at 6 weeks)
Comparator
Conservative rehabilitation (full weight bearing at 8 weeks)
Limitations
Small RCT powered for rehab timing, not efficacy; single group of surgeons.
