Anecdotalcounts toward this tier
Bone density of the joint elements was lower in patients than in healthy controls and tracked disease severity; after a course of bioregulatory therapy the elderly group's severity index moved from severe to moderate.
- Population
- Male patients aged 35–74 with functional pathology of the temporomandibular joint, against a healthy control group
- Intervention
- A course of bioregulatory therapy within complex treatment
- Comparator
- Healthy subjects for the baseline density comparison; no untreated patient arm
- Limitations
- The indexed abstract does not name which bioregulator was used, give group sizes, or report numbers; uncontrolled for the treatment itself; Russian-language institute-linked journal.
