The positive counterweight in this literature: pooled gait speed improved (SMD 0.34, 95% CI 0.03 to 0.66, p=0.033) and ALT fell (SMD -0.29, 95% CI -0.55 to -0.03, p=0.028). Subgroup analysis found the lower doses had the larger effect on insulin resistance.
