Preclinicalcounts toward this tier

Oral therapy produced reattachment on ultrasound, MRI, biomechanical and gait measures; by three months reattachment fibres could be traced into newly formed cortical bone at the surface, with muscle fibres oriented parallel to and in contact with the bone.

Population
Rats with complete (rectus) and partial (vastus) quadriceps muscle-to-bone detachment, followed to 90 days
Intervention
BPC 157 10 µg/kg/day or 10 ng/kg/day per-orally
Comparator
Untreated detachment, which showed permanent knee flexure and impaired walking
Limitations
Originating network; no blinded assessment reported, and imaging and histology carry the claim rather than a load-to-failure comparison.
