- Retrospectively registered (OSF, April 2025, after completion). One of three positive publications by the same Sharjah-Peshawar group within about a year, all single-center at 500 mg/day with overlapping outcome panels (also PMID 40990472, 16 weeks, n=123; PMID 41679011, 18 weeks, n=129); whether these are independent cohorts or overlapping enrolments cannot be determined from the papers. Plasma SIRT1 — an intracellular enzyme assayed in blood — is an endpoint of uncertain meaning for joint tissue. No trial registration preceded enrolment; full texts of all three are paywalled.
