Diastolic blood pressure fell modestly against placebo (weighted mean difference -2.15 mmHg, 95% CI -3.68 to -0.61). Systolic pressure did not change overall, but fell 3.94 mmHg (95% CI -7.06 to -0.82) in participants aged 60 and over.
- Population
- 349 adults with elevated blood pressure across 10 randomised trials (11 intervention arms)
- Intervention
- Oral NMN at various doses and durations
- Comparator
- Placebo
- Limitations
- Common-effects model across 349 participants; the systolic finding is a subgroup result. Two millimetres of diastolic pressure is at the edge of clinical meaning.
