Fasting glucose and HbA1c did not differ between groups. CRP fell and insulin rose in the curcumin-piperine arm, but both differences disappeared after adjustment for baseline CRP and weight.

- Curcumin 500 mg plus piperine 5 mg daily for 3 months

- n=68 over 3 months with a negative primary outcome; the surviving CRP signal did not withstand adjustment.
