Preclinicalcounts toward this tier
The direction here is the reverse of the later literature: four non-metastatic lines expressed Tβ4 highly while three of four metastatic lines expressed it weakly, and the authors concluded that down-regulation correlates with metastatic capacity. Read from the title alone this record would be filed backwards.
- Population
- Paired metastatic and non-metastatic colorectal carcinoma cell lines and surgical specimens
- Intervention
- None — subtraction library and expression comparison
- Comparator
- Metastatic versus non-metastatic lines
- Limitations
- Small 1993 study with early methods and a single discordant surgical case; included because the oncology consensus is not unanimous and this is the clearest dissenting datum.
