Effects of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper complex on osteoblastic cell spreading, attachment and phenotype

GHK:Cu and GHK coating increased attachment of osteoblastic cells and of collagen-I- and osteocalcin-expressing marrow stromal cells, but had no effect on spreading. Against that, GHK:Cu coating slightly inhibited both basal and 1,25(OH)2D-stimulated alkaline phosphatase activity and osteocalcin production — attachment up, differentiation markers down.

Fibronectin and type I collagen coatings, and uncoated surfaces
Limitations
Attachment assay in monolayer; no mineralisation or in-vivo bone endpoint. The phenotype markers moved against a bone-anabolic reading, which the abstract states plainly.
